1:00PM: Auburn averages 85 points a game. Kentucky’s defense is not great, giving up 80+ points in 3 of the last 4. According to KenPom ratings, Auburn is the best offensive team and Kentucky is the 62nd best defense. Both teams do like to run and get as many possessions as possible. Auburn is still fighting with Duke to get the number 1 overall seed. I do think both have wrapped up a 1 seed.
8:00PM: Purdue has lost 4 straight, 3 to ranked teams and really have only looked good in 1 of those games. This is big game for both Purdue and UCLA. Both are tied for 4th place in the Big Ten standings along with Maryland. The top 4 in the league get a double bye in the Big Ten tournament. With Purdue being the home team and UCLA having to fly across the country, I’ll lay the points.
8:00PM: This is strictly a play against the Bulls. Bulls are in 10th place, trading away Zach Lavine, and missing Nicola Vucevic to injury. With all of that, they are coming off a game against the Sixers on Monday which they won by 32 and at one point in the 2nd half they were up by 50! Leading by 50 as a 10th place team is playing way too well and out of their league. I look for the Bulls to be very full of themselves and have a down game today. Clippers have also lost 3 straight games and are holding onto the 6th seed in the West. Thye are currently tied with the TImberwolves and want to stay ahead of them and out of the play in.
9:00PM: Missouri is coming off of their a loss to Arkansas on the road. South Carolina is coming off their first win in the SEC against Texas by 15 points. Missouri is currently in 6th place in the SEC and are tied with Texas and Texas A&M. They need a bounce back win tonight to keep pace with those 2 teams to possibly get a top 4 seed in the SEC Tournament. Also look for a down game from South Carolina after their first win.
11:00PM: Kansas needs to get back on track like they were in the beginning of the season. Kansas is 6-6 in the last 12 games and have fallen to 6th in the Big 12. They are coming off a beat down of Oklahoma St over the weekend. Colorado is in last place in the Big 12, only having 2 wins on the year in league play. Those 2 wins have come in the last 3 games. They are coming off a big win against Baylor by 2 points. Just playing a law of averages with the last place team not being able to win 3 out of 4 games.
4:00PM: Creighton has lost 2 in a row to UConn and St. John’s. They are now only 0.5 games ahead of Marquette for second place and 2.5 games behind St. John’s for first place. Thye need this win to keep up with St. John’s, who I think is going to lose today to UConn. Georgetown is coming off a win in their new rivalry game against Providence. Both sides for that game get fired up due to Ed Cooley leaving Providence to coach Georgetown. Georgetown won that game by double digits. I feel a let down here from them. 13.5 spread is also a big spread for a conference game which is telling.
